First Dance

The dust from the Covid-19 pandemic is finally settling a bit.  Life is slowly returning to normal in many ways.  The schools are getting back to having normal functions again, like dances.  Evangeline's Jr. High dance was a western theme.  We happened to have the most perfect dress.  Colleen made this dress for her a few years back and by golly, it still fits!  I have a million pictures of me helping Evangeline get ready.  I started to delete some of them, but this was such a fun and special moment, I really can't bring myself to delete too many of them.  I put a little make up on her and she felt so grown up.  She is such a natural beauty, she needs no make up at all, but it made the night feel even more special for her.

We are a couple of silly girls who have so much fun together....

We met up with Alex in the parking lot so the girls could walk in together.

When I went to pick her up she was on Cloud 9.  She told me all about everything!  All the snacks, the punch, the music.  She had the best time.  She was mostly an observer.  She said she swayed to a few songs, but mostly stood by the snacks and took it all in.  Her admirer, Andre Burns, asked if they could get their picture together at the photo booth, but mostly she an Alex had a good time watching everything.  She had lots of fun and I was so overjoyed to hear all about it.  Alex invited her to spend the night after the dance.  She was exhausted the next day!
