Christmas Day

Christmas morning is definitely the best.  The kids were up with the chickens and couldn't wait to go downstairs.

Evangeline was 110% shocked to find that Santa had left her a phone (complete with every parental lock you can think of).  She was bursting with absolute joy, dismay and excitement.  She never entertained the idea that it was even a possibility.  Jed was even in disbelief!

Jed was thrilled to see the holiday Minecraft figures he asked Santa for along with a few new games for his Nintendo.

Pop-its, cozy socks and a fleece gator were also in his stalking...he was a very happy boy.

Watching them give their gifts to each other is the best...

Sweet little Evangeline's precious face while she watches her Dad open the gift to him from her....Moose Munch and a book light.

Evangeline bought me some "cozy book socks", chocolate, and made me the most special book she titled, "Secret Santa".  Each page talks about Santa getting all ready for his trip around the world and in each page Mrs. Claus is doing the behind the scenes work that it takes to make it all possible.  It is so so so special to me.  She said she was up until 1:00am on night working to get it all done in time.

More presents....

This was my very wonderful gift from Jed.  A sticker picture he made for me.  On the gift wrap sticker he stuck on it he wrote, "To Mom".  It melted my heart.

Pickles and Cookie enjoyed the catnip tea bags Santa left for them.  Pickles was especially excited.  He was attacking his tea bags all morning and making quite the scene.

The two best gifts I will ever receive.....

We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon relaxing, playing and enjoying every minute of such a blessed day.

Kyle made a fire since it was so mild out and worked on his whittling (with his trusty cat by his side)....

My mom came over for dinner.  Evangeline's friend Alex gave her a peppermint pig and we followed the tradition of the peppermint pig after the meal.

We exchanged gifts with mom.

Evangeline opened the little French rabbit her Grandma gave her.  She was so excited!

It was a great end to a wonderful day.
