Early December

Jed kicked off December with head lice.  I was called down to the nurses office one afternoon to see him and about 3 of his classmates proclaiming that they had bugs in their hair.  I took him home to treat him with olive oil that evening.  Kyle was in Chicago for work (lucky guy).  I also treated my hair and Evangeline's hair.  Jed was not at all happy about having his head wrapped in Saran Wrap and had a big cry fest about it until he discovered that Saran Wrap wasn't foil.  Once he realized that he was fine.  He was treated with Nix the next day and got a clean bill of health from Nurse Dana and was able to return to school.  Thankfully Evangeline didn't ever have it and I didn't either.  We got ice cream that night...we all needed it.

Jed was so excited to be in a parade!  He was on the church float and was very proud of the peppermint he made for the display.  It was absolutely freezing that night.

Pickles LOVES the Christmas tree....

Jed and his friend, Lucy, at church....

I went to Candy Canes on Main in Casey with Colleen and Ainslee.  It was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.

The kid's Christmas excitement is always thru the roof!!  (Not gonna lie, us parents get pretty excited too.)

I have always hidden felt stars with a piece of candy and a scripture verse inside, but I was only really good about keeping up with it for a week or so.  This year we did these tiny houses and the kids loved them.
