Thanksgiving

We spent a lovely Thanksgiving holiday at Wayne and Karen's house.  They watched the kids on Wednesday so Kyle and I could go shopping, which is always something I enjoy!  It's fun to go to the Keystone mall and experience mall shopping like the old days.  On Thanksgiving Day Kyle and I went for a 3 mile run around Wayne's neighborhood.  It was a perfect morning for a run.  Later in the day Karen's family came over to join us for Thanksgiving dinner.  

Jed had a fun time playing with Karen's great niece, Paisley.  We had a Toy Story movie marathon and Kyle and his dad watched a lot of football.  It was a very relaxing holiday. 

That night back at home Jed fell asleep in my arms.  These moments I will cherish as they are growing fewer and farther between....my babies are growing up. 

We got out a few decorations that evening and Evangeline declared that Pickles is on the "nice" list....I'm still not so sure....

School Holiday Fun

South School is a really exciting place around the holidays!  We had different dress up days all the week leading up to Christmas break.  Here we are on holiday accessory day!  One day the week leading up to break, our principal, Mrs. Morgan found me in the hallway and told me I needed to drop everything and report to the office.  When I got there I found the rest of the 1st grade teachers there too!  She told us she was taking us on a little getaway.  We boarded the school's short bus where Christmas music was blaring and were driven to McDonalds to get whatever drink we wanted.  While we were gone she had aides covering our classrooms.  It was such a fun surprise.  She told us how much she appreciates all we have done during this super challenging school year, and this was just a little something special.  Evangeline participated in the locker decorating contest.  She had such fun bringing her supplies and getting it done during h...

Cozy at Home

Snow day painting...dreaming of all the flowers in my garden....I have a bunch of old frames so I'm putting a collage of my painted flowers in my bathroom.  It's a cheery touch.  I pulled out some of my old cozy knits I did years ago.  Evangeline loved them!  Pickles did too.  Jed had to join in the fun sporting a toddler sweater...I'm glad they both appreciate those kinds of things...

Down Time

Evangeline was chomping at the bit to use some of her money to go buy a case for her new phone.  We went to TH to look around and then made a stop at Starbucks.  Evangeline felt like a big kid.  We had a fun girls outing.  She wanted to sit inside Starbucks and cuddle on a couch drinking our beverages together.  It was a special moment for me too.  This girl is growing up into such a delightful young lady.   We tried real hard to give our money to an actual shop to purchase the case, but no one had anything that would work.  We ended up resorting to Amazon.  She was really pleased when her sparkly pink case with a heart shaped pop socket arrived in the mail.  The rest of the week was spent lounging around doing all the things we love to do at home.  My nephew's, Cale and Liam came for a sleepover.  We all had so much fun with them!  Jed was of course in his happy place with Cale there to play with.  Evangeline an...
