One thing I love about Kindergartner Jed is the fact that one of his friends can make him "hair" at recess and then he just struts into my 1st grade classroom at the end of the day wearing it with all the confidence in the world.  He just chatted it up with my students like it was the most normal thing in the world to be wearing paper hair.  I love him so much.  I got Kyle a cocktail smoker for his birthday.  It's been fun to get it out on crisp spring evenings and use it.  Here are a few pictures from Jed living his best life in kindergarten..... Jed posed with his clutches around this poor baby chick's little neck..... I took a picture very similar to this when Jed was very small....feels like just yesterday.... Spring clippings from the yard.... "Take a picture of us, mom." "Mom, take a picture of me and Pickles holding hands!"

First Dance

The dust from the Covid-19 pandemic is finally settling a bit.  Life is slowly returning to normal in many ways.  The schools are getting back to having normal functions again, like dances.  Evangeline's Jr. High dance was a western theme.  We happened to have the most perfect dress.  Colleen made this dress for her a few years back and by golly, it still fits!  I have a million pictures of me helping Evangeline get ready.  I started to delete some of them, but this was such a fun and special moment, I really can't bring myself to delete too many of them.  I put a little make up on her and she felt so grown up.  She is such a natural beauty, she needs no make up at all, but it made the night feel even more special for her.  We are a couple of silly girls who have so much fun together....
